8.46a.m on 9/11 Part 3

I felt a pulse of panic. I ran towards the building, not believing my very own eyes. I ran as fast as i could carry my body. I didn't know what would happen next or what was supposed to happen next , but it would be random , unpredictable and uncomfortable . I called my family . But, I was unlucky, I reached my voicemail box , that goes' Hey, you've reached the Colin, Angelina , Jared and Sarah's Crawford household , please leave your message after we have said We'll be right back !!!' and beep . ' Angie , this is me , Colin , take care of Jared and Sarah , take care of yourself too, I'm safe, and I love you, don't worry about me . ok " That was all I said, it was difficult , because it's something you wouldn't know whether or not you'll be seeing them again, my family is my priority and their my precious gems. This time, police cars were screeching to a halt around the corner . People were screaming and crying in fear, scrambling for their dear lives, looking for their families. I thought of the call I just had made, maybe or maybe not this would be the last time I saw my beautiful, kindhearted wife and two brilliant kids that I built with my wife because , we're a family.

The World Trade Center which once stood proud, was no more, it was reduced to Ground Zero . Every bit of the building , every tile was crushing down , now, New York is in Bad Shape. This, was what no one expected it to be till today..

8.46a.m on 9/11 Part 2

My mornings were always filled with the hustle and bustle of the city that never slept. Out of the bule, I , myself, witnessed a big shadow shaped like an aircraft in the sky blocking the ultra-bright sunshine from passing through to the grounds covered with tar. I looked up. This time, strangers around me looked,too. As we tried to decipher what was happening, we froze in our tracks. Some even had their jaws dropped to the ground. All of us were motionless. We could only watch in horror, helplessly. The hustle and bustle of the city came to a pause. All I could hear was the breaking news from the televisions from the Sony Centre shop I was standing next to . Before any action could even take place, it was too late. ' Bang ' . This sound was all it took to shock the New Yorkers into a mad frenzy. Thick black smoke billowed in the air . A plane had crashed into the first tower of the World Trade Center . 8.46 a.m was the moment that shook the nation and the rest of the world.

I'm Just A Child At Heart

I like to move it , move it, you like to move it, move it , and we gotta MOVE IT

Yup, you heard me ....I'm just a child at heart.

Right, yesterday Sher Lin and me went out to 1 utama to free ourselves form being slaughtered by our boredom. Well, we went there just to celebrate our friendship of 9 years ( we knew each other since 1999) before the millenium.Period. And i'm proud to say we've been friends since then and till now although many things drifted us apart and of course we did have our ups and downs because no one's bloody perfect.....

Anyway, we went there about 11 and we met Jason and his friend there . We booked tickets to watch Madagascar 2 Escape to Africa at TGV as the rates there are cheaper and no, we didn't watch the movie with Jason because his friend wanted to watch James Bond , Quantum of Solace at GSC GOLD CLASS. By the way that friend of Jason's is bloody rich but not spoilt..heeeee

Then , we went to Popular to get Sher Lin's beloved book , Remember Me , Sophie Kinsella ..That's SL's long awaited book since last year and thanks to her friend here as she could save 6 bucks . Then , we went bowling ...And the good news is i striked TWICE..weeee, but the scores went to Jason because he left early and we had to play for him and we ended up winning the game for him..*sigh*

Movie's at 1.20p.m and we reached the cinema bout 1.05 and bought popcorn ..Besides, i was a culprit between me and SL as i the representer of the two of us smuggled in Burger King!!!!And we munched inside the cinema and the burger was damn finger-licking good ya'know! i ate Whopper jr. and a regular size popcorn , i know , i know , i'm a big eater, but seriously speaking , i can't seem to put on weight , instead i'm losing weight. SERIOUSLY.PERIOD.i caneven feel my ribs and it's visible...though..

After the movie, we without Jason and his friend walked aimlessly and went to and fro to the old wing and new wing , yeah we went in to alot of boutiques and Sl tried on a few pieces of clothes and i stood there waiting for her but she ended up not getting anything because we're waiting for the Megasale .. And so we did go in to DKNY, Polo Ralph Lauren, Zara, Pull and Bear, Dorothy Perkins and so on..just to get a feel of it ..though .Oh, and i wrote down the clothes i want to get for Chinese New Year and the price so that it's easier to get ..weeee

Then , we went to Movie Magic and i bought two movies , believe me that's all i spent my money on yesterday, mainly The River Wild and Heartburn..So yeah , also i asked them to reserve the movie One True Thing so i can get it the next time ...;) Moving on, we walked as usual , aimlessly , and we went to MPH just to read for awhile and also rest our legs after hours of walking . oh , i read Angie's interview with Cosmopolitan and the way she spoke in the interview was so gentle and honest, asking me how i could feel it , well , these are my instincts and i could just feel the connection between me and her and also i could feel she's there talking honestly and gently...*perasan...

To Friendship!!!we went back at 7 +...

8.46a.m on 9/11 Part 1

At 8.46a.m ,you maybe be mowing the front lawn, or you'll be making breakfast for a family of four or having your morning shower. At 8.46a.m, you can wake your teenagers from their sleep which is usually filled with dreams. At 8.46a.m , may be the time you'll find yourself hurrying downstairs because you are running late for work.

8.46a.m is the time which changed many people's lives in mere minutes and is also the time when the world's tallest building crushed down to mother earth on September 11th 2001.

Autumn, is always the season that children look forward to, to have the times of their lives. But, this time, it would be unusual , different,because on this very day , September 11th, it would be the day that would change the whole world, and the day that people would never know what was going to happen next as more was yet to come . As usual, I was rushing for work , again . It took thirty-two minutes to drive from my house in Brooklyn, the east side of New York to the World Trade Center in central New York, Lower Manhattan . I hurried downstairs in my socks, carrying my shoes and files which I had brought home with me over the weekend as I am a Corporate Lawyer and also the director for my firm.

After the thirty-two minute drive to Lower Manhattan, I parked my car at my usual place where I walked from , to the office everyday, As usual, the smell of freshly brewed cofee drew me into Starbucks . I , myself , who's a coffee addict purchased a steaming hot cup of coffee and a bagel. As I walk , I could smell the fresh air being breathed in to my trachea and then to my lungs , it was a pleasant and beautiful morning with the birds chirping around here and there,and hearing the footsteps of other people walking slowly enjoying and savouring every bit of that wonderful morning.

When and Where?

Literally, my dad is taking forever, to get me my Olympus E2-520!!
i've been waiting for a year, mind you.

Oh, my dad says he's gonna get mom's present next week or tomorrow or on the mega sale or the next next week, ok i just don't know, but so long he gets my mom that freaking present.(i'll take a picture of it as soon as my mum gets it :) teehee

I've influenced and still am influencing my dad to do Dana , means giving or offering in Buddhism. For instance , buying me and mom lots of our own favourite stuff ( the camera and my mum's present ), and sponsoring us for our vacation, teehee...its also a form of Dana ya' know! :)

Anyway, i'm in the middle of reading Rich Dad , Poor Dad and asking my dad to do my charity besides spending his money on his wife and me..:)))

oh, my grandma is staying with us for a few days ...:)
